Tea Party Senate Races
11/21/2009, by Proloy Bhatta
Fox News conducted a poll Nov 17-18, 2009 that measured the favorable/unfavorables of some potential 2012 candidates -- and Oprah Winfrey.
| Politician | Favorable | Unfavorable |
| Oprah Winfrey | 61 | 26 |
| Sarah Palin | 47 | 42 |
| Mike Huckabee | 45 | 23 |
| Mitt Romney | 38 | 27 |
| Newt Gingrich | 38 | 38 |
In the first favorable/unfavorable poll out since Palin's book release, Palin's favorable rating is 5-points higher than her unfavorable rating. In July when Fox News last measured Palin's fav/unfav, they found her unfavorables to be 13-points higher.
Mike Huckabee has the best fav/unfav margins of any of the potential 2012 Republican candidates measured here.
Remember, Huckabee has been leading in each of the last two 2012 national polls that were conducted in mid-October.
| Politician | AVERAGE | CNN | Fox |
| Mike Huckabee | 31% | 32 | 29 |
| Mitt Romney | 23% | 21 | 24 |
| Sarah Palin | 22% | 25 | 18 |
With favorables that remain high and leads in the latest 2012 polls, Huckabee definitely should be considered the leading candidate for 2012.
