Huckabee Romney Remain Tied for 2012

HIGHLIGHTS

• Fox News: Romney 22%, Huckabee 21%, Palin 17%.
• Gingrich drops 5% in two months to 9%.
• Sanford is no longer being polled.

Fox News presents yet another 2012 poll that shows Romney and Huckabee in a dead heat for the 2012 election.

Gallup had Huckabee at 19% behind Romney 26% and Palin 21% in a poll they conducted July 10-12, 2009 but ABC News had Huckabee ahead of Romney 26% to 21% in a poll they conducted a few days later July 15-18, 2009.

CNN had a three way tie between Huckabee, Romney, and Palin in a poll they conducted May 14-17, 2009.

All these polls suggest that Mike Huckabee would make a very serious Republican candidate in 2012.

With all that said, why isn't Huckabee spoken of as a serious candidate? All this chatter about Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Tim Pawlenty, and Bobby Jindal has left Mike Huckabee off the radar screen.
