Afghanistan Polls Around the World

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Australia, Britain, Netherlands, and Canada are each opposed to sending more troops to Afghanistan. Canada and Britain being the most in favor.
  • Additionally, Germany and Japan have a plurality of support for removing troops from Afghanistan.
  • And finally, a whopping 80% of people in Pakistan are opposed to the US war on terror.

Australia, Britain, Netherlands, and Canada are each opposed to sending more troops to Afghanistan. Canada and Britain being the most in favor.

Although Afghanistan is seen as the "just war" as opposed to Iraq, opposition around the world has grown since the United States was attacked on 9-11. This is not a failure of Obama -- after all, Obama is widely seen as a force for good around the world.
